Gypsy Rose Blanchard to Share Her Story in Lifetime Docuseries

Gypsy and her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn were arrested for Dee Dee’s murder in 2015 after long after the 48-year-old’s body was found at her Springfield, Mo., home. Gypsy, then 23, subsequently pleaded guilty to second degree murder in connection with her death and given a 10-year prison sentence, while Nicholas was found guilty of first-degree murder and is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

During Nicholas’s trial, Gypsy had testified that Dee Dee kept her largely isolated from the outside world, made her use a wheelchair, forced her to undergo unnecessary medical treatments and told the public that she was disabled. She also testified that her mother controlled and abused her physically.
