Mark Consuelos is missing his other half.
During the first week of August, Kelly Ripa has been missing from ABC’s Live! With Kelly and Mark talk show as the co–host—who has been part of the talk show series since 2001—is out for summer vacation.
Indeed, Mark has instead been supported by Jenna Dewan and Nobody Wants This star Jackie Tohn this week as his wife takes her much-deserved time off.
And Mark—who got his share of vacation last week—wasted no time making the show’s stand-in guests feel comfortable, and even loved by Kelly from afar.
“When Kelly and I got done meeting you and walked off,” Mark recalled after welcoming Jackie during the August 6 episode, “We said, ‘Wow, she would be a great fill-in.’”
To which the actress replied, “Really? That makes me want to cry. Thank you.”
And while Kelly and Mark have been married for nearly 30 years and share kids Michael, 28, Lola, 24, and Joaquin, 22, together, it doesn’t come as a total shock to the most devoted Live! fans that they’ve opted for solo vacations.
