Mashle episode 5, which was titled “Finn Ames and the Friend,” focused on Finn as he navigated the Life Crystal exam. He faced off against a terrifying opponent in Carpaccio after failing to conceal his presence. The latter demanded that Finn should surrender his life crystal, but he refused.
Carpaccio tried to defeat Finn in annoyance for continuing to refuse him, but Mash arrived just in time to save him from dying. Mash battled Carpaccio, whose voodoo and defense magic initially proved difficult for him. The protagonist then broke through his Master Cain ability with consecutive attacks, which overwhelmed Carpaccio.
