Stephen Curry Wears a Hero’s Watch

Plus: Tom Holland isn’t the only Spidey cast member with a sick watch.

Welcome to Watches of the Week, where we’ll track the rarest, wildest, and most covetable watches spotted on celebrities.

Stephen Curry has been in full celebration mode this week, and can you blame him? After sinking his 2974th three-pointer and being named best shooter in NBA history, Curry proved his taste in watches is on par with his knack for long-distance shots. After presenting Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala with matching Rolexes, he showed up for the postgame press conference wearing a watch fit for an action movie hero. Also this week, Tom Holland just can’t stop flexing his god-tier watch collection and Christmas comes early for DJ Khaled, with a little help from Patek Philippe.

Stephen Curry’s Panerai PAM01441 Luminor GMT

With a big 45mm case in ultra-tough matte black ceramic, this version of Panerai’s iconic military diver’s watch looks like the kind of thing you’d wear on a BASE jump. For Curry, however—who has more than proven his excellent taste in watches of late—it was the perfect accent to his ensemble of 2974-themed merch at the postgame interview.

Tom Holland’s Patek Philippe Aquanaut…

Elsewhere, Tom Holland is keeping a hot streak of a different sort alive, using the Spider-Man: No Way Home promo tour as an excuse to trot out one grail-worthy watch after another. This week it was an understated (but extremely hyped) Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A, the sportiest piece in the brand’s lineup and the heir to the throne of the outgoing stainless steel Nautilus 5711.

…and Zendaya’s Patek Philippe Nautilus

Holland’s Spider-Man co-star Zendaya, meanwhile, revealed herself to be the latest member of the elite club of Patek Philippe Nautilus owners when she flashed her new 7118R, a slimmed-down rose gold version of the infamously discontinued Nautilus 5711.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s Cartier Santos

Serious acting chops weren’t the only thing Yahya Abdul-Mateen II needed to successfully reprise the role of Morpheus in The Matrix Resurrections. He also needed to look smoldering in a leather duster. As you can see from his big Bottega Veneta fit at the film’s San Francisco premiere (complete with a Cartier Santos in full rose gold), he can check both boxes.

DJ Khaled’s Patek Philippe Reference 5961R

Judging by the tinsel and stockings on display at the House of Khaled, the producer, occasional motivational speaker, and full-time cheerful human is the kind of guy who leans into festive decor. The finishing touch on his holiday ensemble? A tastefully iced-out Patek Philippe chronograph-annual calendar, naturally.
