Pop Smoke’s Brother Obasi Jackson Gets Emotional As He Opens Up About His Passing 

On the latest episode of Taraji P. Henson’s Facebook show “Peace of Mind,” she focused on grief after a sudden death, and one of the guests that joined her was Pop Smoke’s brother Obasi Jackson. As many of you know, Pop Smoke, unfortunately, passed last February, and his brother spoke out about how his passing affected him.

Obasi talked to Taraji and her friend/ co-star Tracie Jade and said, “Me losing my own brother…I’m going through so many things. I won’t be able to hug my brother again, tell him I love him again, I won’t be able to see him…I won’t be able to show him my accomplishments.”

During a sneak peek clip before the full episode aired, Obasi also said, “There was a time he went through a situation, that people were putting him down and counting him out. There was threats on his life because of that and people were trying to figure out where the threats were coming from.”

He continued to state,” It’s mind-boggling to me that someone would let a superstar go out with no security, that still plays on my mind. Like that makes no sense.”

As many of you know, Pop Smoke was tragically shot and killed last February it what initially was reported as a home invasion while he was staying in Los Angeles.

During the same episode, Taraji and Tracie also sat down with Asian Doll as she talked about the recent passing of her ex-boyfriend King Von and how she has been trying to deal with that tragic loss.
