Barbie released its first-ever Diwali doll in 2024 in collaboration with Indian fashion designer Anita Dongre, and the limited-edition collectible quickly sold out in stores and online. But, we’ve spotted the official Diwali Barbie back in stock for this year’s Diwali dates.

Barbie Diwali Doll by Anita Dongre

Barbie’s Diwali doll is dressed in a festive, Moonlight Bloom set with a choli top, floral Koti vest and lehenga skirt adorned with dahlias, jasmine and Indian lotus symbolizing strength and beauty, according to a press release sent to Billboard. The doll accessorizes with golden bangles and shimmering earrings.

While the Barbie Diwali doll originally retailed for around $40, it has since become a collector’s item and Amazon and Walmart have raised the price accordingly. Still, it’s rare to find this collectible online — and Mattel hasn’t produced another Diwali doll since — so we recommend adding it to cart while it’s still in stock.

“In celebration of Diwali, Barbie and I are both encouraging fans around the world to celebrate the beautiful heritage of Indian fashion and culture,” Dongre said in a statement when the doll was first released. “My brand has always been driven by a mission to empower through fashion, and as the ultimate symbol of women empowerment, partnering with Barbie to create the Barbie Diwali doll couldn’t be a more perfect alignment of our values.”

If the Diwali doll is out of your budget, Barbie also makes this Indian-inspired doll. Part of Barbie’s “Fashionistas” collection, the doll features flowing brown hair and a turquoise snake print skirt and top with black strappy heels.

Mattel says this Barbie “celebrates diversity and offers endless possibilities for storytelling and fashion exploration,” while being “designed to reflect the world kids see today.”

Diwali is one of the biggest Hindu celebrations, held in India and other countries around the globe including the U.S. This year’s Diwali celebration runs from Nov. 6 to 10, 2026, with the official Diwali day on Nov. 8.
