Jason Sudeikis Shares the Parenting Lesson He Borrowed From Ted Lasso

Jason Sudeikis is scoring some major points in the parenting game.

After all, the Ted Lasso star revealed that his TV coach alter-ego actually inspired his go-to etiquette rule with kids Otis, 12, and Daisy, 9.

“I try to explain to them the power of please and thank you when you really mean it,” Sudeikis told E! News in an exclusive interview. “Not only do you get to be in interesting places, but I think, more importantly, you get invited back. That feels like a Ted Lasso philosophy that we’ve yet to implement on the show, but you certainly see it a lot.”

And Otis and Daisy certainly have a lot to be thankful for.

Earlier this month, the Saturday Night Live alum brought his son and daughter—who he shares with ex Olivia Wilde— to the star-studded FIFA World Cup final game and halftime show in New York where they got to meet Justin Bieber.

“The cousin text chain lit up,” Sudeikis joked of the once-in-a-lifetime experience. “So, that’s always exciting and fun.”
