Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart’s Daughter Georgia Graduates Middle School Amid “Difficult Year”
Eric Dane‘s acting legacy is continuing on thanks to his daughter Georgia Dane.
In fact, the 14-year-old is following in both of her parents’ footsteps after landing her first role in The Ocean Between Them, a Lifetime movie also starring her mom Rebecca Gayheart.
The network announced Aug. 18 that in the mother-daughter drama, premiering Sept. 26, Rebecca plays “a devoted mother whose world is upended when her daughter Miranda disappears at sea during a vacation in Belize.”
And while actress Jessica Lord portrays the older daughter stranded at sea, Georgia has a special part in the film as the Once Upon A Time actress’ younger daughter onscreen.
Indeed, the character is a fitting start to Georgia’s entry into the family business, especially as the teen is the youngest daughter in real life, following the late Grey’s Anatomy star and Rebecca’s eldest, Billie Dane, 16.
While the family has been weathering a challenging year—following Eric’s Feb. 19 death at 53 due to complications from his battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)—Georgia also marked a major education milestone. Along with the onscreen feat, the actress graduated from middle school in June, which her mom applauded as an incredible achievement.
