Watch Lucy Dacus and Her Dad Wander a Cemetery in “Planting Tomatoes” Video

Lucy Dacus has directed a video for her April single “Planting Tomatoes.” Shot in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia, the collage-like clip features cameos from Dacus’ dad and students from the local youth performing arts group SPARC, as she embarks on a tour of her favorite local spots: Dogwood Dell, Earthfolk Collective, Hollywood Cemetery, and James River Park Pony Pasture. Check it out below.

Dacus is about to head out on the latest leg of her tour behind last year’s Forever Is a Feeling, launching this weekend at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. She is also putting on a (sold out) screening of the “Planting Tomatoes” video at Richmond’s Byrd Theatre on July 30, followed by a Q&A.

Revisit Dacus’ track-by-track overview of her third album, Home Video.
