Adam Driver Reacts to Lena Dunham’s Claim He Threw a Chair, Screamed at Her While Filming Girls

Adam Driver is addressing Lena Dunham’s bombshell claims about him—kind of.

After the Girls creator and actress alleged in her memoirFamesick that Adam had “sometimes feral” outbursts during their time filming the show, he shared his cheeky reaction.

“I have no comment on any of that,” Adam said during the Cannes press conference for his film Paper Tiger, per Variety. “I’m saving it all for my book.”

Though his comments sparked laughter in the room, per the outlet, Lena described Adam’s alleged “half-man, half-beast” behavior as no laughing matter, detailing one specific instance when they were practicing lines.

“Adam screamed, ‘F–KING SAY SOMETHING’ and hurled a chair at the wall next to me,’” Lena, who at the time was dealing with dissociation as part of her undiagnosed endometriosis, wrote inFamesick. “‘WAKE THE F–K UP,’ he told me. ‘I’M SICK OF WATCHING YOU JUST STARE.’”

The pair’s intimate scenes also stick out in her mind as they portrayed leads and love interests Hannah Horvath and Adam Sackler.
