Yellowstone Ending With Season 5—But Wait, There’s More

The original Yellowstone is nearing its final ride.

On May 5, the Paramount Network announced that the fifth season of its hit series—starring Kevin Costner as Montana cattle rancher John Dutton—will be the show’s last.

However, a month after the final episodes release in November, expect to see a currently untitled sequel hit screens, courtesy of creator Taylor Sheridan.

Yellowstone has been the cornerstone on which we have launched an entire universe of global hits—from 1883 to Tulsa King,” President and CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios Chris McCarthy said in a statement to E! News, “and I am confident our Yellowstone sequel will be another big hit, thanks to the brilliant creative mind of Taylor Sheridan and our incredible casts who bring these shows to life.”

CEO of co-production company 101 Studios David Glasser added, “The Dutton story continues, picking up where Yellowstone leaves off in another epic tale. We are thrilled to bring this new journey to audiences around the world.”
