All the Labor Day Tech, Home, and Appliance Sales Actually Worth Your Time

If your Labor Day weekend plans are suddenly looking all-too-similar to last year’s, the best Labor Day sales 2021 has to offer are here to provide some sweet relief. In many cases, they’re significantly better than their 2020 counterparts, and almost every retailer is participating. To help you make sense of it all, we rounded up the tech, appliance, furniture, home decor, kitchen, and outdoor sales that actually pass the sniff test. If you’re looking to kit out your apartment—you know, that place where you still spend, like, 90% of your time—these are all the best Labor Day sales worth your hard-earned cash.

The Best Labor Day Tech and Appliance Sales

Amazon: Amazon’s biggest sales are usually reserved for bigger events, like Prime Day or Cyber Week, but they have a few random tech and appliance deals available this weekend.

Apple: Apple isn’t running its own Labor Day sale, but if you’re a student or educator you can get free AirPods with the purchase of a new Mac or iPad through the company’s Back to School offer.

Best Buy: Best Buy’s Labor Day sale is stocked with TVs (as low as $100!), laptops, phones, home appliances, and gaming consoles.

B&H Photo and Video: The NY-based mega electronic retailer has tons of sales this weekend on gaming laptops, cameras, and Apple accessories.

Dyson: Several of Dyson’s vacuums, including the Dyson V7 Absolute, and other home gadgets, including its fans and air purifiers, are on sale for Labor Day. The discounts aren’t enormous, but Dyson rarely slashes prices on its new gear so any amount off is reason to celebrate.

Home Depot: Home Depot might not be the sexiest place to shop during the holiday weekend, but the home improvement retailer is currently offering a wide range of deals, including a solid selection of discounted Hoover vacuums.

Lowe’s: In celebration of the holiday weekend, Lowe’s is offering hefty discounts on a ton of indoor and outdoor appliances.

Microsoft: Microsoft doesn’t have a Labor Day-specific event kicking, but the software behemoth is offering discounts on a selection of its laptops if you’re Team PC all the way.

Office Depot: Upgrade your WFH setup by saving big on printers, desks, and office chairs.

Walmart: The big box retailer is discounting a fairly wide range of items in its annual Labor Day sale, including AirPods and plenty of TVs.

The Best Labor Day Bedding, Bath, and Skincare Sales

Bed Bath & Beyond: Through Monday, Bed Bath & Beyond is taking up to 60% off a selection of essentials for the bed, the bath, and, well, the beyond.

Brooklyn Bedding: Now through the 6th, Brooklyn Bedding is taking 25% off its entire site with code “LABORDAY25”.

Crane and Canopy: Take up to 70% off bedding, sheets, rugs, and home decor from the brand’s sale section.

Riley Home: Take an additional 20% off Riley’s Last Chance section with code “LAST20”, including some of our favorite sheet sets.

Sephora: Save up to 50% off in the retailer’s ongoing summer bash.

The Best Labor Day Furniture and Home Decor Sales

ABC Carpet and Home: Take up to 50% off carpets and 15% off light fixtures in ABC’s ongoing summer sale.

Burrow: As usual, Burrow is offering a somewhat convoluted sliding scale sale, which you can unlock by using the code “LDW21.” If you spend at least $1,900, you get $200 off. If you spend $2,300, you get $250 off. If you spend $2,700, you get $300 off. If you spend $3,100, you get $400 off. And if you spend over $3,500, you can get $500 off. If you buy anything less than $1,900, the company will give you a 10% discount.

The Container Store: If you’re a sneakerhead (or merely a casual shoe obsessive with way too many kicks), the Container Store is offering discounts on several of its drop-front shoe box configurations.

Cost Plus World Market: The company’s clearance section is full of outdoor and indoor furniture on steep sale.

Design Within Reach: The DWR semiannual sale includes 15% off a limited selection of home goods and furniture, along with free shipping on all Knoll products.

EQ3: Now through the 7th, take 15% off all of EQ3s well-designed pieces.

Floyd: Discounts of up to $375 on a bevy of furniture options, including the bed you’ve seen all over Instagram. The not-so-secret code is “LABORDAY21”.

HAY: For its Autumn event, Hay is taking 15% off sitewide, which means more than a few of its classic items are now on sale. That includes home accessories like lamps and blankets, but also one of our favorite water bottles.

Hayneedle: Save up to 50% off (plus an extra 10% off with code “EXTRA10”) a vast selection of outdoor furniture.

Lightology: Lightology is taking up to 75% off overstock fixtures in the company’s ongoing summer sale.

Outer: Now through the 6th, Outer will throw in a complimentary lettuce grow farmstand (a $559 value) when you spend $3,500 or more.

Saatchi Art: If you’re buying original art that costs less that $1,000 from Saatchi, you can use the code “LABORDAY10” to get 10% off. If you’re spending more than a grand on originals, you can use “LABORDAY15” to get 15%.

Society6: Get up to 30% off everything.

Wayfair: The discount retailer’s clearance sale will get you up to 70% of a bunch of its wares, including both big-ticket items (sofas and beds) and accessories (side tables and rugs).

West Elm: Take up to 70% off the company’s wide-ranging selection of furniture, bedding, and inside/outside accessories. 

The Best Labor Day Kitchen Sales

Abbio: The recently-launched kitchenware brand is offering 25% off its sleek products with code “LD25”.

Hurom: Take 30% off select juicers and accessories until Monday.

Macy’s: After narrowly avoiding bankruptcy last summer, Macy’s is celebrating by taking up to 60% off a wide array of home goods in its Labor Day sale. There are discounts across every category, but you’ll find the best deals on kitchen items like the NutriBullet.

Le Creuset: Save up to 40% off the brand’s signature selection of colorful cookware, including a few variations on its beloved Dutch Oven
