The 4th of July Tech and Home Goods Deals Worth Your Time

Save for the best 4th of July sales, most aren’t that impressive. It’s a lot of red, white, and blue hand-waving, but few real discounts of substance. And yet! There are still some sales worth your precious time, few and far between though they may be. Because you have BBQs to attend and base tans to achieve (though remember to sunscreen up), we’ve compiled all the tech, furniture, home decor, and kitchen 4th of July deals worth a brief bit of your long weekend freedom. If you’re looking to kit out your apartment—after, or in spite of, being stuck inside for months—these sales will come in handy. Because there’s no better way to celebrate Indepence Day than by taking control of the place you call home.

The Best 4th of July Tech and Appliance Sales

Amazon: Amazon’s biggest sales are usually reserved for its tentpole events, like Prime Day or Cyber Week—but rest assured, the retailer has more than a few tech and appliance deals going on this weekend. (We’re eyeing this specialty home projector optimized for laid-back sports watching.) If there’s an item you’ve had in your cart for awhile but haven’t pulled the trigger on yet, it’s worth heading over to the site to see if the price dropped.

Apple: Apple isn’t running a formal 4th of July sale, but if you’re a student or educator you can snag free AirPods with the purchase of select Mac and iPad models. (FYI: The Apple Watch Series 6—the latest version—is currently on sale at Amazon, too.) 

Best Buy: Best Buy’s 4th of July sale is stocked with TVs, laptops, phones, and gaming consoles—it’s fun for the whole family, unless the whole family is trying to dramatically cut back on screen time.

Dell: If your technological allegiances lay firmly on the PC side, Dell is currently taking up to 50% off an enticing array of electronics in what it’s calling its “Black Friday in July” event. (Go figure.) 

Dyson: Several of Dyson’s products, including the V8 Absolute vacuum and the Supersonic hair dryer are on sale this weekend. The savings aren’t enormous, but considering the brand rarely discounts its best-selling gear, we’ll take what we can get. 

Walmart: The big box retailer has an extensive range of tech on sale for the 4th, including the newest AirPods and a whole host of home audio gear

The Best 4th of July Bedding and Bath Sales

Bed Bath & Beyond: The retailer is taking up to 50% off a wide selection of kitchen, home, and bedding options from now through the 5th. 

Crane and Canopy: Take up to 70% off the company’s bedding, sheets, rugs, and home decor through the weekend.

Parachute: Sign in to access Parachute’s ongoing “Last Chance” sale and scoop yourself some primo bedding at discount prices. 

Tuft & Needle: Take up to 20% off the brand’s entire selection of home goods including its crisp Percale sheets

The Best 4th of July Furniture and Home Decor Sales

ABC Carpet and Home: Through Tuesday, the retailer is offering a nearly site-wide sale of 25% off its massive selection of ante-upping home goods. 

Albany Park: The furniture brand is taking 12% off its sofas and sectionals using the code “JULY12” now through July 11. 

Allform: For the 4th, Allform is taking 20% off site-wide using the code “JULY0420”. 

Burrow: As usual, Burrow is offering a somewhat convoluted sliding scale sale, which you can unlock by using the code “USA21.” If you spend at least $1,900, you get $200 off. If you spend $2,400, you get $250 off. If you spend $2,800, you get $300 off. If you spend $3,200, you get $400 off. (If you spend anything less than $1,900, the brand will toss in a 10% discount.)

The Container Store: In need of shelves? How badly? Through July 12, the company is offering 15% off when you buy an Elfa shelving system, 20% off when you buy two of them, and 25% off (along with an additional 25% off the rest of your order) when you buy three. 

Cost Plus World Market: The company’s thoroughly-stocked clearance section, which includes tons of indoor and outdoor furniture options, gets upwards of an additional 50% off. 

Crate and Barrel: Crate and Barrel is offering up to 50% off a wide selection of new markdowns, including furniture, entertaining sets, planters, and outdoor drinkware. 

Design Within Reach: DWR is in the midst of its ongoing midsummer sale, which includes a wide range of home goods. For the Fourth, the brand is taking 15% off select outdoor furniture and accessories. 

Edloe Finch: Take 12% off orders over $900 with code “JULY12” through July 11.  

EQ3: To celebrate the holiday, EQ3 is taking 10-15% off a slew of well-designed pieces this weekend.

Floyd: The company is offering discounts on almost all of its signature Instagram-friendly furniture with code “SUMMER21”, including that one bed frame that’s been all over your feed for the last two years straight.

Hayneedle: Hayneedle’s 4th of July sale boasts up to 50% off a bunch of outdoor furniture, but the company is also running a living room event that includes everything you need to kit out your digs in bargain-friendly style. 

Lightology: For the 4th, Lightology is marking down an extensive array of fixtures from select designers.

MoMA Design Store: Take an additional 20% off the museum’s sale section with code “SUMMER20.” 

Outer: Take up to $1,000 off when you spring for a full five-piece sofa and all the corresponding accoutrement in the brand’s “Bundle” event.

Rove Concepts: Through July 5, the company is offering 40% off select pieces from its range of sleek European-inspired furniture. (Members will also receive 20% off site-wide and 20% back via voucher.) 

Society6: For the holiday, the online retailer is taking up to 40% off of everything. (Yes, everything. It’s that simple.) 

Wayfair: The retailer’s clearance section offers up to 60% off a range of its discount wares, including big-ticket items like sofas and beds and less pricey accessories like side tables and rugs.

The Best 4th of July Kitchen Sales

BioLite: If you’re jonesing to get the grill going already, BioLite’s 4th of July sale offers 20% off the retailer’s selection of outdoors-friendly cooking appliances, from now through the 5th. 

Hurom: For July 4th, Hurom is taking 30% off all of its juicers.  

Macy’s: Macy’s, of course, sells far more than just kitchenware. But its July 4th sale is jam-packed with thousands of home chef-friendly bangers. There are discounts across every category, but some of the best deals are on items from big-name brands like Instant Pot and NutriBullet

Our Place: In its ongoing summer sale, the brand is offering a free spruce steamer when you buy one of its signature Always Pans, a non-stick cooker that’s a favorite among the Instagram-savvy foodie set. 

Proclamation: Through the 4th, the cookware brand is offering $50 off the Proclamation Duo along with a free dinner bell. 

Sur la Table: Through Monday, Sur is taking 20% off a variety of its cookware items and kitchen accessories using the code “STARS”.
