Seahawks’ Chad Wheeler Arrested For Felony Suspicion Of Domestic Violence

Roommates, it’s been reported that on January 26th Chad Wheeler from the Seattle Seahawks was still being held at the King County Jail on suspicion of felony domestic violence. He is accused of assaulting his girlfriend at a residence in Kent, WA. Chad appeared in King County District Court, and his bail was set at $400,000 according to Seattle Times. Court records show he was booked into the King County Correctional Facility in Seattle at 1:19 a.m. on January 24th. He was also ordered not to have contact with the alleged victim and to surrender all weapons.

A Kent Police Department report said police responded to a call from a woman who locked herself in a bathroom following a “physical fight” with her boyfriend. The victim had called 911 stating that she was being “killed.” Police were advised on the call that she had suffered a dislocated arm and was bleeding.

According to the report, when officers arrived at the scene, they could hear the woman screaming from inside the apartment. They forced their way inside and heard more screaming from a bathroom. Once inside, they found Chad standing beside the victim. Reports state Chad was initially uncooperative before being detained and that he had been on medication for Bipolar disorder but had not taken it as of recently.

The victim was transported to Valley Medical Center in Kent because of her arm pain. The report says the incident allegedly began when Chad asked the victim to bow to him, and when she did not obey, he grabbed her and threw her on a bed. In addition, the report says Chad then strangled the victim before she lost consciousness. When she regained consciousness, Chad was standing near the bed and said to her, “Wow, you’re alive?”

In a statement Monday night, the Seahawks said, “We are aware of the situation and still gathering information.”
