Diddy Officially Cancels Annual New Year’s Eve Party Due To COVID-19—’I’m Not Changing My Mind’

Roommates, although the holiday season has managed to have gone on for many, there have definitely been elements of the traditional celebration that have been cancelled…and that now includes Diddy’s highly-anticipated New Year’s Eve party. In a post on social media, Diddy officially broke the news that he decided to cancel this year’s event due to following COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Whether you’re a celebrity or not, everyone is aware that Diddy is known for throwing some of the most legendary parties around—but sadly, one of his most anticipated events has just been cancelled.

As many gear up to celebrate New Year’s Eve in some way, Diddy has decided to take a safer approach and cancel his annual New Year’s Eve event to ensure that everyone maintains their health and stays COVID-19 free.

In a post on Instagram, he wrote the following:

“TO ALL MY FRIENDS: In efforts to keep everyone safe and healthy… Unfortunately we are not having a NYE party this year! I hope everyone had a blessed holiday and wish you all the best for the new year.”

To make sure it was understood that the party is definitely not happening, Diddy captioned his post, “ATTENTION: THIS IS TO EVERYONE, ALL OF MY FRIENDS & FAMILY…I’M NOT CHANGING MY MIND…SEE YOU ALL IN 2021! LOVE YOU!”

Welp, there you have it. Looks most of us will be having a quiet New Year’s Eve as well.
