The Pitt’s Patrick Ball Has Hilarious Reaction to More Potential Cast Changes

Patrick Ball would like to stay on after his residency at The Pitt.

In response to a headline featuring costar Noah Wyle’s recent comments about future cast shake ups, the 36-year-old wrote underneath an April 14 Instagram post: “Gulp.”

Wyle recently broke his silence on Supriya Ganesh’s departure from the show. The actress, who portrays Dr. Samira Mohan, will be leaving after two seasons as a result of a “story-driven decision.”

“It’s an inevitability that’s going to happen every season with this show,” Wyle—who plays Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch in the medical drama and is also a co-creator—told Variety on April 11, “because as writers we’re hard pressed to figure out what a lapse of time we can have and keep most of this ensemble together realistically.”

He also sees the turnover as realistic to the show’s hospital setting, adding, “Emergency rooms have a high revolving door. As always, we try to bring in new characters or promote from within as we go through these cast changes and try to keep the storylines fresh.”
