Situated in the heart of it all, the hotel is just minutes from the ocean activities and steps from some of the area’s most popular attractions and alluring nightlife. This luxury hotel has it all, from award-winning dining, a rejuvenating spa, a state-of-the-art FIT gym, and a lively cocktail bar and lounge. It is the ideal place to luxuriate while taking in some fun in the sun.
I was swept away when taking it all in from the large and expansive terrace overlooking the beach. I Breathed in the fresh ocean air and was ready to set sail for an adventure. After a quick and efficient check-in, I adjourned to my suite, with décor and accent pieces that mimic the blue colors of the surrounding ocean. The floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal waterway, made it feel light and airy, providing a feeling of total comfort. I admired the beautiful ocean views from my private balcony. The W Fort Lauderdale offers double bedrooms, king bedrooms, and 16 guest suites, which include its Presidential Suite (Extreme WOW), fit for a rock star. While every room and suite is stunning, the EWOW is simply breathtaking. It is where you would imagine your favorite celebrity staying and living a charmed life. Situated on the 24th floor, guests can have meals prepared in the private kitchen, dine on the massive terrace, and soak in an oversized stone tub from the comfort of the hotel’s most glamorous suite. If guests are staying in the city for an extended time, they might enjoy staying in one of the hotel’s one and two-bedroom residential suites, complete with full, ultra-modern kitchens.
Many of the hotel guests rave about the hotel amenities, and rightly so because they have some of the best ‘luxury’ amenities of any hotel I’ve ever seen. One of the hotel’s most talked about amenities is the “Luxury Essentials Cart”. This cart, stocked with high-end, designer goods available (on loan) during your stay, is rolled right up to your suite. There is an array of items, such as designer jewelry, handbags, sunglasses, and fragrances from top designers, which include Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Versace, and Gucci. It is every fashionista’s dream come true when on vacation! I took full advantage of my chance to rock a cute designer handbag when stepping out for the night.

This package offers zodiac-inspired cocktails, manicures, and even a private pajama party with a psychic and henna tattoo artist. It is the perfect way to celebrate a birthday with friends or a bachelorette party.

Whether it is on one of their yachts or pontoons you choose to rent or charter, I can assure you that it will be an unforgettable experience.
If you are the type of hotel guest who enjoys relaxing poolside, then the rooftop pool is definitely the place you’ll want to be, with its transparent pool walls and fun atmosphere. Known as the Wet East, this pool scene is electric, providing guests with an upbeat and energetic place to let loose. It is also where you’ll hear DJs playing on the weekends and attentive bartenders making sure the libations keep coming. If you want to truly relax in peace and serenity while soaking in some sun, then I would suggest you head to Wet West, where you’ll enjoy the backdrop of the Intracoastal views, an infinity-edge hot tub, and comfortable loungers.
If you’re wondering what the dining scene is like at W Fort Lauderdale, let’s just say you’re in for a treat. El Vez is the hotel’s casual dining restaurant, offering classic Mexican cuisine cooked in the Baja style using fresh seafood from Southern Florida. A kaleidoscope of decadent dishes, tantalizing to the sight, gave me a little bit of everything to try. I’ll be the first to admit that everything I ate was delicious and left me wanting more.
Be sure to make reservations to dine at Steak 954, the hotel’s modern beachfront dining destination. I had another unforgettable dining experience, as the seafood and meat I had were some of the best I’d ever eaten in Florida. It was obvious to me that the dishes were prepared using the finest of choice meats, and the freshest seafood and ingredients. Everything, from the signature steaks to the creative cocktails, was a hit in my book, which is why I’m giving my dining experience at Steak 954 a 10 out of 10. It was an all-around enjoyable dining experience from the moment I walked in and caught sight of the lovely jellyfish in the 15-foot-long aquarium at the entrance. It is a must when staying here.
If you’re preparing for a night out on the town, I suggest you also visit The Wilder, a sophisticated yet down-to-earth bar lounge, for cocktails. They offer an incredible Happy Hour and a small plate menu on select days of the week. The next day, I recommend sleeping in and later in the day venturing out to the beautiful Holly Blue restaurant for their signature brunch, where Moet & Chandon champagne flows freely, and the food is amazing. I had the time of my life thanks to the W Fort Lauderdale who were hands-on in every decision I made while visiting.
