Meet ARRA: The Sustainable Capsule Collection Celebrating Understated Elegance

When it comes to fashion, 2022 is already coming in strong. From effortless joggers to figure-flattering bodysuits, sleek and simple is the name of the game when it comes to nailing the style game in the new year. Two things that newly launched brand ARRA is doing so right.

Created by designer Christine Arra, formerly with Ralph Lauren and Donna Karan, ARRA makes beautiful clothes using high-end and eco-conscious luxury fabrics. Made in NYC, each piece is ideal for every day.

“My inspiration for this collection comes from the organic, flowing shapes in everyday nature, and I am influenced by modern art and architecture,” said Arra, who earned a BFA in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. ” When draping, I create designs with subtle details that are timeless and worn effortlessly.”

After years of working with some of NYC’s top designers, Arra recognized a growing need in the industry for eco-conscious material sourcing and responsible business practices. And so her namesake brand was born.

“We want the ARRA woman to wear these pieces to work, to dinner, or just be casual, depending on how she styles it with her existing wardrobe,” she told me. “The line was created from an aspiration to responsibly source raw materials, fabrics, and quality textiles; while adhering to our ethos of fair and responsible business practices.”

ARRA manufactures all its garments locally in New York City. Most of the packaging originated from recycled materials, printed with eco-friendly algae ink, and can be repurposed and recycled.

Some of my favorite pieces from the collection include the Geo Top, an easy fit, sleeveless tee, with an asymmetric neckline shape, pleated armhole, and side coverage detail. Paired with the Slack lounge pant, this has quickly become my favorite work-from-home outfit.

Prices range from $225 to $525. Check out the entire capsule collection at christinearra.com.
