On this day in 2020, just one year ago, an episode of the Netflix series Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Television Movie. A few years earlier, Dolly told us about one of her movies for Netflix based on her 1970’s song “Jolene.”

16 years ago in 2005, Jason Aldean’s self-titled debut album was released. The older Jason gets, he hopes the better he gets.

29 years ago in 1992, the late Joe Diffie recorded “Prop Me Up Beside The Jukebox (If I Die).”

Chris Young says that he was heartbroken when he learned of Diffie’s death in 2020 of Covid -19.

40 years ago in 1981, The Charlie Daniels Band appeared on NBC’s Barbara Mandrell & The Mandrell Sisters show.
