Michael Ray is among the many musical acts itching to get back out on the road after a year of not touring. The singer is close to making that a reality as he plots a 21-city trek dubbed the Just The Way I Am 2021 Tour.
“I can’t wait to be back out on the road and be with all of you again,” shares the Florida native in a press release. “There’s nothing better than being with one another and singing the songs that have brought us together over the years, and I’m so excited to share some new songs with you that have come to mean so much to me. Let’s make some memories!”
Mixed in with his string of headlining performances will also be several festivals and opening spots for artists including Sam Hunt, Chris Young and Brantley Gilbert.
Fans of Ray may be treated to new music from the rising star as he gears up for the release of his new album. Previously released songs “Pictures” and “Whiskey and Rain” give a sneak peek of the project, which Ray calls “country.” “I think collectively, what people are gonna hear is the inspiration from the 80’s and the 90’s, some of that Florida southern rock feel,” he shared previously with Sounds Like Nashville. “All of that stuff that I pulled from growing up is going to be all over this album.”
