It’s been a minute since we’ve heard any news about Bill Cosby. Last year, news broke that Bill decided to stop taking showers at the State Correctional Institution – Phoenix in Pennsylvania to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The 83-year-old comedian opted to take a birdbath instead to limit his time outside of his jail cell. According to reports from Daily Mail, “As of now, I have declined to take any showers, and I have decided to take wash-ups in my cell. This is the best way for me to stay safe and healthy,’’ said Bill.
Unfortunately, it appears that showers aren’t the only thing that he has denied. New reports from Yahoo news state that the Pennsylvania Parole Board has turned down his petition to be released from a 10-year prison sentence after refusing to participate in a therapy program for sexually violent predators.
If Bill had participated in the therapy program, he would’ve become eligible for parole on September 25th, after completing the minimum three-year term of his sentence. If you recall, he was sentenced to 3 -10 years in prison and labeled a sexually violent predator on September 25, 2018, for raping Andrea Constand, an alleged former friend of his from Temple University, in 2004.
Andrew Wyatt, who is a spokesman for Bill, commented on the denied petition. “We knew he was going to be rejected. He called me and told me that if he didn’t take the course, he would be denied. He has maintained his innocence from the beginning, “ Andrew said.
Bill’s team also shared a message from his Instagram account.
