Is Keith Urban Featured on Taylor Swift’s ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’?

Will Keith Urban be featured on a new song with Taylor Swift? That’s what Swifties are guessing after the songstress posted the ultimate Easter egg video of clues to her social media on Friday morning (4/2).

The clip finds a gold vault opening with seemingly random letters pouring out. But with Swift, there is always more than meets the eye. The Tennessee native captioned the clip with “The vault door is about to be as unhinged as you’ll think I am after you watch this video. Level: Expert. Happy decoding.” Quick thinking fans found them to be anagrams, or letters jumbled up to create secret messages.

Within minutes of posting, fans began quickly guessing the meaning behind scrambles like GENAURIFT (featuring), EMNRA (Maren), ELPCYRFET (perfectly) and more. But two that stood out quickly was TEKHI, or Keith, and RUNBA, or Urban. This clue seems to point to the ACM host taking part in a secret Vault song featured on Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

Swift and Urban have long crossed paths throughout their musical careers. Swift previously opened for the Australian superstar on his 2009 Escape Together Tour (just months after the original Fearless was released in November 2008). Urban also covered her mega-hit “Lover.” And the two teamed up with Tim McGraw on the powerful track “Highway Don’t Care” in 2013.

While fans are still deciphering which song Urban will be featured on, they do know that Maren Morris will appear on “You All Over Me.” The track is one of six “From the Vault” songs Swift plans on sharing with the release of Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

“These are songs that I’m calling ‘from the vault,’ and I call them that because there are songs that I wrote over the course of my career that were meant for certain albums, but didn’t end up making the track list for reasons that, to me, don’t really matter now,” Swift shared previously. “I would make decisions based on, ‘Oh, there are too many breakup songs on this album, I can’t put this one on too. There are too many slow songs on this album, I can’t put this one on too.’ I think curating an album is really important, but at the same time, it’s really fun to go back and show the fans the full picture of what I had created at that time.”

The upcoming release is the latest in exciting news for Swift, who recently won the GRAMMYs Album of The Year for folklore.

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is slated for release on April 9. In the meantime, keep up with Swift on socials to see all the fun theories from her dedicated legions of fans.
