TSR Prayers Up: Author Eric Jerome Dickey Passes Away At Age 59

According to @essence, author #EricJeromeDickey has passed away at the age of 59, after battling an unknown illness. The news was confirmed by his publicist, Essence reports.

A cousin of Dickey’s also confirmed his death on Facebook. “I am heart broken. My cousin, Eric Jerome Dickey passed away on yesterday,” expressed La Verne Madison Fuller. “Guys, when God tells you to do something, just do it. Just a few weeks ago, God woke me up to text him and say that I loved him. He let me know that he loved us too.”

The beloved author was also a New York Times best seller. “Sister, Sister,” “Friends & Lovers” and “Between Lovers” were some of his most notable books.

In 2020, his book “Sister Sister” was also honored by Essence for being one of the most influential books in 50 years.
