Traitors Season 4: Alan Cumming’s Stylist Reveals Secrets to His Killer Fashion Looks

Alan Cumming’s fashion on The Traitors is to die for.

And while the Emmy-winning host helps inspire some of the daring ideas, it’s stylist Sam Spector who is behind the jaw-dropping looks.

“What works and what doesn’t is always surprising to me,” Sam told E! News in an exclusive interview. “I think something’s going to be the star of the series, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.”

Take, for example, Alan’s viral coffin coat from the first episode of season four—which premiered on Peacock Jan. 8—that Sam and his team constructed from two off-the-rack coats, cardboard and beads.

“[Beforehand] I was a little bit like, ‘Meh, fine.’ But now I think it’s become a real standout,” he continued. “People are talking about the coffin coat, and now I love it.”

Of course, Alan’s wardrobe has evolved and become more “theatrical” since season one dropped in 2023, but the inspirations for the looks—and Alan’s preference for tartans, gloves, berets and jewels—have remained the same.
