Sofía Vergara Makes AGT Golden Buzzer History After Death-Defying Act

Sofía Vergara is definitely buzzing after America’s Got Talent‘s first season 19 live show.

The actress made series history during the NBC competition’s Aug. 13 episode when she sent Hakuna Matata Acrobats straight to the finals after their jaw-dropping performance, a first for the reality show.

The Tanzanian group stunned both the audience and the judges by climbing on top of each other in different formations while balancing on boards stacked on top of rolling platforms. The team’s gravity-defying skills and strength earned an immediate rave review from Simon Cowell.

“This is one of the most difficult, dangerous acts we’ve seen on a live show,” the American Idol alum gushed. “And I genuinely mean this, it felt to me like you’ve arrived. I have so much respect, so much, for what you’ve done and this means a lot to you. I have a feeling this is gonna be a great, great night for you.”
