During a recent interview with Variety, Deadpool vet Karan Soni teased the amount of surprise cameos that fans should anticipate in Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine movie.
“This new MCU version is ultra-secretive,” Soni shared. “There are a lot of surprises. Let’s just say a lot of people traveled to London.”
The Dopinder actor also confirmed that lead star Ryan Reynolds has been “plotting” the Deadpool and Wolverine team-up since the production of 2018’s Deadpool 2, which only featured some archival footage of Hugh Jackman from 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
“I remember him [Reynolds] spilling that at lunch one day that he had started a conversation with Hugh. I remember saying, ‘People are going to flip out,’” Soni recalled. “Then the studio got sold to Disney and a lot of other stuff happened. But, of course, Ryan followed through because it was dream casting.”
