Shaq Slams Vaccine Mandates After Previously Criticizing Kyrie Irving’s Vaccination Status

Shaq Slams Vaccine Mandates After Previously Criticizing Kyrie Irving’s Vaccination Status – The Shade Room

It’s been about four months since Shaq voiced his opinion about vaccine mandates, specifically in regard to Kyrie Irving’s decision not to take the jab and sit out of games. It looks like the time past has changed Shaq’s views, as he recently expressed he isn’t here for people being “forced” to take the vaccine.

As we previously reported, Shaq commented on Kyrie’s vaccination status, stating that despite his beliefs about the medicine, Kyrie has an obligation to get on the court with his team.

“I try not to belittle another man’s opinion,” he said. “In this game of ours, sometimes you have to think about others instead of yourself. Now, Kyrie has his own views and his opinions. I’m not going to knock that, but he does have an obligation because he took that $200 million.”

Shaq continued saying, “Once you sign up for this life, there is no privacy and you have to accept it. But if you’re on my team and can’t play home games, I don’t want you around. Like we have a chance to win and you ain’t on the program, so go somewhere else, period.”

During the most recent taping of “The Big Podcast With Shaq” however, Shaq was singing a totally different tune.

“Look, I encourage everybody to be safe and take care of your family, I do,” he stated. “But there’s still some people that don’t wanna take it. And you shouldn’t have to be forced to take something you don’t want.”

Although he’s had a change of heart since his comments about Kyrie, he encouraged listeners to “be safe” and take care of their families.
