Luke Bryan and Jordan Davis, have a grounded and graceful Number One hit with their legacy-minded single, “Buy Dirt” — but they celebrated on the water.
The country collaborators got together for a recent duck hunt, with Bryan posting a video to social media.
Decked out in camo in a flat-bottom boat, Bryan and Davis seem all too happy to be headed out to a hunting blind, as they slip quietly through a swampy wetland with a few others on board. There’s no word on where the hunt took place, but Bryan especially seems giddy about the experience.
“It’s the ‘Buy Dirt’ duck hunt!” the superstar quacks with a happy chuckle, after stumbling over his words a bit.
“Buy Dirt” is on top of both the Billboard Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts this week, marking Davis’ third Number One and who-knows-how-many for Bryan — and their hunting trip is just the latest example of a budding friendship.
Davis also took part in Bryan’s 2022 Crash My Playa Mexican resort festival last weekend, sharing bro-hugs from the stage with Bryan proclaiming “Buy Dirt” a song he truly loves.
Meanwhile, Davis has said the track is perhaps his most important to date. “I’ve never released a song that means as much to me as ‘Buy Dirt,’” the singer posted on Instagram. He’ll extend his Buy Dirt tour through May, and will also headline Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium for the first time September 27.
