With Christmas nearly here, the end of 2021 is just around the corner. And what better way to wave it goodbye than with one of the year’s biggest breakout country stars? Walker Hayes will take part in this year’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2022 broadcast.
Joining the iconic nationwide celebration after a year that found his first Number One, a Grammy nomination and more, Hayes will help kick off 2022 with a “Fancy Like” bang — and a long lineup of fellow stars.
Airing December 31 on ABC, this year’s New Year’s Rockin’ Even broadcast will be split between three cities in different corners of the U.S. — New York, L.A. and New Orleans — plus Puerto Rico.
Hayes will be performing in L.A., along with OneRepublic, Don Omar, French Montana, Mae Muller, Maneskin, Masked Wolf, Polo G, AJR and Daisy the Great, Avril Lavigne and Travis Barker, Big Boi and Sleepy Brown, Macklemore with Ryan Lewis and Windset. The L.A. portion will be hosted by Ciara and D-Nice.
Meanwhile, the New Orleans party will feature Broadway star Billy Porter as host and performer, while Puerto Rico will include reggaeton superstar Daddy Yankee and host Roselyn Sanchez. But back in the show’s original home of New York City, hundreds of thousands of revelers will once again take over Times Square. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, Karol G, Journey, Chloe and LL Cool J and more will rock out with the whole world watching, before the ball drops on a brand new year.
Elsewhere, Nashville will have a New Year’s celebration of its own, and you can catch that on TV as well. With Bobby Bones hosting the CBS show, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley and more will hit the stage, with a giant music note counting down a midnight Central Time.
