When flexing goes wrong! Roommates, if there’s one thing the innanet will do, it will get you caught up if you’re out here doing the wrong things because you never know who is watching. One man is learning this the hard way and is behind bars after photos he took with his friend showing off stacks of money and guns with Santa Claus inside a Baton Rouge mall earlier this week went viral. It looks like the viral photo garnered the attention of folks online—including the police.
According to WBRZ, one of the men who flicked it up with Santa Claus is in the center of a criminal investigation. The Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed they are now looking into the pictures, which appeared to have been taken recently at the Mall of Louisiana. The department said it was first notified about the incident after the photos circulated on social media.
29-year-old Almonzo Paul, pictured wearing a red jacket in the photos and holding large amounts of cash, was arrested Thursday on an unrelated warrant out of Texas. Almonzo did not appear to be holding a weapon in the photos like his unidentified friend. It’s unclear what the warrant was for, and reports do not state if the unidentified man will be facing charges at this time.
When we first shared the photos on Tuesday, over 4,000 Roommates left comments on the unorthodox Christmas pictures. One commented, “This looks like they held Santa against his will.” Another commented, “Can’t take Louisiana Ni***s nowhere. Santa looks happy to be there, though.” Currently, it’s unclear whether either man will face charges over the incident.
