Honey Country Reimagine Disney’s ‘Do You Want to Build a Snowman’

Independent duo Honey Country put a bittersweet spin on a Disney classic for a new video, sharing a special duet version of “Do You Want to Build a Snowman.”

Out today (November 12), the wintery ballad first made famous in Frozen becomes more chill than ever in the hands of Dani Rose and Sofie Lynn, perfect for the coming Christmas season.

Featuring a simple arrangement which highlights their honorary-sisters status, Honey Country’s “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” revolves around a two-part vocal duet, dripping in sugar-sweet sadness. With the two singers seated side by side, the clip was filmed at Nashville’s Gibson Garage by Dylan Reeves, and finds the duo reimagining the playful tune’s emotional magic.

“We love the song ‘Do You Want To Build A Snowman,’ but we wanted to make our own version,” the duo tells Sounds Like Nashville. “There was something special about making the song a duet and stripping it down to only acoustic guitar and pedal steel. We had a blast experimenting with the phrasing and adding the call-and-response rounds, making it what we believe to be uniquely Honey County.”

“Do You Want to Build a Snowman” is available everywhere now and follows the most recently single from Honey Country, “Got It From My Mama,” which speaks to an entirely different kind of family affair. The anthemic track shines a light on the deep-rooted pride and love both women share for their mothers, and they have more new music coming through December and next year.
