Rising star Ryan Hurd has announced the details behind his full-length album debut, setting October 15 for the release of a set titled, Pelago.
Named after Hurd’s upbringing on the shores of Lake Michigan, Pelago was produced with the singer-songwriter’s childhood friend and longtime creative partner, Aaron Eshuis (with further contributions from Jesse Frasure and Teddy Reimer), and arrives while Hurd is building some serious momentum.
After breaking out as a songwriter with hit co-writes for the likes of Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw and more, Hurd has released a series of EPs and singles, and now the time seems right for a full set. The album news comes just as his current single — “Chasing After You” featuring wife and fellow country star Maren Morris — rises into Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Country songs chart (Top 15 and climbing at country radio).
“My debut album is here October 15!” Hurd wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to each and every one of you for being here for this journey. Cannot wait to celebrate in person. In the meantime, enjoy my new song JUNE, JULY, AUGUST out now! Love and blessings: RH ❤️
To celebrate the milestone, Hurd also dropped the hot-blooded “June, July, August,” and the grooving track follows his recently released “Coast.” Pelago will also feature 2018’s Platinum-certified “To a T,” which was included on Hurd’s Platonic EP.
Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris recently performed “Chasing After You” on Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Morris was one of the first to congratulate her husband on Instagram. “Let’s gooooooooo 🔥,” she wrote, joined by a chorus of other country stars.
