The last week saw DaBaby double, triple, and quadruple down on his stance following the blowback to his controversial, homophobic comments on stage during his Rolling Loud performance. But now it appears his tune may be changing. This past Sunday Lollapalooza removed him from their lineup, and Day N Vegas soon followed suit this morning.

Not long after, DaBaby published a new post on his Instagram, a short statement that doubled as a formal apology. “I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made. Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I know education on this is important.” Elsewhere in the statement, he thanks the people who “came to me with kindness” and “reached out privately to offer wisdom, education, and resources.” There’s no word yet if Day N Vegas will reinstate him for the festival.
