Newcomers CB30 make a toxic relationship sound like a gourmet meal in the new track, “Healthy,” whipping up a country-pop jam full of all-natural sweeteners.
Featuring brother-blended vocals from Christian and Brody Clementi, “Healthy” finds the emerging duo mixing rich harmony and romantic craving into a flavorful country dish. With silky-smooth lyricism and a refreshing beat, they deliver a mood-boosting tribute to the dangerous kind of love — one that can’t be resisted, even when you know it’s bad for your health. The upbeat track was co-written Christian with Pete Good, Brandon Ratcliff and Dean Fields, and the brothers mark it as a turning point in the early career.
“This song is a step up from our old music,” Brody says of the track. “It’s more mature and I love the upbeat funkiness of it. Christian called me from the studio and sang four words of the chorus and I loved it.”
“This is one of our favorite songs we’ve ever written,” adds Christian. “We are so excited to get it out to the world.”
“Loving you ain’t healthy / Damn, your kiss is cruel / You know I can’t help it / When I’m holding you / You play with my emotions / Your a heartache in that dress / You sugar without knowing / But it ain’t killed me yet / It ain’t killed me / I’ve probably shouldn’t but I do anyway / Cause one kiss a day keep the lonely away,” goes the steamy chorus.
Following up 2020 tracks like “We Are Right Now” and “Love That About Her,” CB30 are Nashville natives who’s father is country songwriter Jay Clementi. After finding early success on TikTok opening stadium shows for Luke Bryan, the brothers are currently working on new music.
