Harper Grae Releases Emotional Music Video For ‘Still Your Mother’

Harper Grae recently released a music video for her poignant song, “Still Your Mother,” just in time for Mother’s Day. In the song, Grae shares her personal journey of experiencing a miscarriage a decade ago. Grae is now pregnant again with her “rainbow baby,” but as she sings in the song, she’s still a mother to the child she lost.

“It’s just another day to everyone else / I still love you like you’re with me, growing like you should be, but I keep it to myself / Even though I never met you, I still feel like you’re all mine, wonder what you’d be like, because even though we never got to hold each other, I’m still your mother,” she sings in the chorus.

In the bright and airy music video for the song, Grae sings the tune surrounded by swaying white curtains. She also rocks an empty wooden cradle. The video also features photos from fans who submitted their stories through Grae’s Still Your Mother campaign.

“I created the ‘Still Your Mother’ music video in hopes that anyone who see it who has experienced miscarriage or a loss like this, know they are not alone,” said Grae. “Even though they may battle a silent war with grief, it is possible to hold onto hope simultaneously.”

Grae premiered “Still Your Mother” and announced the news of her pregnancy with People in March. Grae will be welcoming her new addition with wife, Dawn, who is also the mother to a 9-year-old daughter.

“I have been nervous every step of the way, as I am sure many mothers whom after having had a miscarriage can relate,” she told the publication. “Every doctor’s appointment, every trip to the bathroom, every workout, every meal — I am overly cautious.”

“However, one thing is for sure: this little rainbow baby will be loved,” she added.
