Caitlyn Jenner has been gearing up for her run for governor of California, Roomies, and she has been very vocal about some important issues that we face in the United States. Caitlyn sat down with Sean Hannity on Wednesday evening and was sure to speak her truth on a variety of issues including immigration.
While Caitlyn said that she is “pro-legal immigration”, she expressed that she is also in favor of continuing to build the border wall that Donnie suggested during his time in office. It might seem like a contradiction, but Caitlyn explains that she feels immigrants have the right to come into the United State, just through a legal and more modernized means.
“I am all for the wall,” she said. “I would secure the wall. We can’t have a state, we can’t have a country without a secure wall. We have two questions here: one if stopping people from coming in illegally into the state and then the second one is what do we do with the people that are here?”
She continued, saying that the United States is a compassionate country which needs to pour money into updates processes of becoming a U.S. citizen.
“We are a compassionate country, we are a compassionate state,” she said. “Some help, and some people we are going to send back. No question about that. We have to modernize. We have not modernized our immigration system in the United States to make it possible for people to immigrate into this country.”
