Gunna & Young Thug Post Bond For 30 Fulton County Jail Inmates Being Held For Minor Offenses

Following the release of Young Thug’s ‘Slime Language 2’ album, he and Gunna spent some time with their families and friends in their hometown of Atlanta and decided to give back to the community!

Thugger and Gunna took their coins to the Fulton County Jail, alongside lawyers and bondsmen, and posted bond for 30 inmates, WSBTV reports. Young Thug said most of the men and woman were being held for low-level crimes but couldn’t afford their bond to be released.

“You never know what somebody’s been through,” Gunna said. “There was people sitting out three or four years and couldn’t get out on bond.”

“If they did the crime, then they can do the time, then it’s all right,” Young Thug continued. “But it’s like you’re giving them a bond higher than what they stole.”

While Thugger and Gunna did not reveal how much money was spent on the bonds, they did tell WSBTV that this will not be the last time they perform this act of kindness. “They plan on doing this again in the future and hope other artists will follow their lead,” WSB-TV’s Michael Seiden reports.

“This is where we are from,” Young Thug said. “We just woke up and went to the hail with the lawyer and you know the DA’s and the prosecutors, you know, the bonding companies and just got as many people as we can out.”
