Our good sis Selena Gomez joined the trend of hair changes and brightened her usual brunette waves. On Friday, the singer and actress revealed her new platinum blonde drip.
Selena debuted the refreshing look via a mirror selfie. In the photo, Selena holds her seemingly gold iPhone to the mirror with both hands. The fingernails shown within the photo frame are perfectly manicured. They’re coated in plain, pastel nail polish in the colors green, yellow, peach and lavender.
Selena wore a white graphic tee that’s partially hidden by her iPhone. Her golden locks flow past her shoulders and stop near her armpits. The hair is parted in the middle, with dark brown roots. She sports a small smile, while looking down at her camera. Her face appears to be make-up free with natural, rosy cheeks.
The original post depicting Selena’s refreshing, new look was made on Rare Beauty’s verified account. Then, Selena reposted the photo to her Instagram story.
“New look. Need to pick new Rare Beauty lip and blush shades now,” the caption in the original post reads.
Rare Beauty is Selena’s beauty brand that was inspired by her 2020 album ‘Rare.’ She launched her first line of products last September, according to Glamour. The goal was to “make an impact” and empower others to embrace their “own uniqueness,” Selena said on the brand’s official website.
“Being rare is about being comfortable with yourself,” Selena said. “I’ve stopped trying to be perfect. I just want to be me.”
By Friday evening, Rare Beauty’s post had received over 544,000 likes and more than 20,000 comments.
