Carrie Underwood appeared on the Latin AMAs Thursday night alongside Spanish singer David Bisbal to perform their energetic duet, “Tears of Gold.” In the performance, Underwood showed off her Spanish speaking skills as she and Bisbal traded vocals in both English and Spanish. The crowd cheered as Underwood confidently launched into Spanish in the second verse, displaying her triumphant vocals along the way. The two singers performed in front of hanging light displays while dazzling golden lights were also projected on the stage and on screens all over the arena. As Bisbal and Underwood hit the final note, fire displays surrounded them on the stage.
“Tears of Gold” was released in December 2020 and is featured on Bisbal’s latest album, En Tus Planes. The artists also released a dramatic music video in December, which was up for the award of Favorite Video at the show. Selena Gomez’s “De Una Vez” took home the prize. Underwood posted photos from the performance as well as from the red carpet, where she donned a red gown with hints of tan and purple.
“What a fun night! Thank you, @davidbisbal and @latinamas,” Underwood wrote alongside the photos.
