Roommates, a few weeks have gone by since Lyric Chanel sadly passed away following a hard fought battle with cancer and a special ceremony to celebrate her life featured appearances from a few celebrities, including Queen Naija. Queen Naija gave a very heartfelt performance as she sang to honor the memory of young Lyric Chanel, whose life was tragically cut short.
13-year-old Lyric Chanel fought for two long years after she was diagnosed with brain cancer, unfortunately she passed away after her family recently confirmed that her condition had worsened over the last few weeks. She was officially laid to rest at her funeral service that was available to view via livestream, as many around the world wanted to pay their respects to the teen.
Queen Naijia, wearing an all-white suit, sang her heart out, performing her rendition of the classic gospel song, “I Won’t Complain,” which was definitely quite emotional, as Lyric always managed to smile and project positivity even during her final moments.
As we previously reported, Lyric Chanel lost her battle with brain cancer on March 5th, with the news confirmed on her Instagram account. “She is resting so peacefully and so beautiful. I Can see your halo baby girl. Heaved gained a beautiful Angel this morning,” the message read.
Just before her passing, her mother shared a message that stated she only had a few days to live. The message read, “Just got news from Dr that Lyric is dying and only have days to live… These are the hardest words to have to hear.”
We want to continue to send our condolences to Lyric Chanel’s loved ones during this difficult time.
