Drake Mentions Kanye West In New Song ‘Wants And Needs’ Leading Fans To Assume What It Means

Roommates, it’s no secret that Drake and Kanye West have had a notoriously rocky relationship throughout the years with a constant back-and-forth along with subliminal jabs—but Drizzy’s latest name drop of Ye has fans thinking the tide may be turning. Drake recently dropped a collection of new songs, but it’s the one where he name drops Kanye West in a seemingly positive way that has fans shook.

Despite several missed release dates throughout the last few months, Drake finally dropped the new music that his fans were waiting for, in the form of a new EP titled ‘Scary Hours 2’ that features three brand new tracks.

The set contains the tracks ‘What’s Next’, Lemon Pepper Freestyle’ and ‘Wants And Needs’—but the last song is what’s garnering the bulk of the attention. On the song, Drake decided to mention Kanye West once again, but instead of the shade he has previously thrown Yeezy’s way, this time it seemed to be a positive bar.

At the end of the song’s first verse, Drake raps the following line:

“Yeah, I probably should go link with Yeezy, I need me some Jesus. But soon as I started confessin’ my sins, he wouldn’t believe us.”

Kanye has not (and some assume he likely will not) respond to Drake, as he has not made any public statements through reps or on social media since he lost the 2020 presidential election.
