Country singer-songwriter Tyler Rich has released his brand new song, “Better Than You’re Used To.”
Rolled out just in time for Valentine’s Day, the romantic track details one guy’s promise to a girl who’s been unfairly treated by her past love. It was penned by Rich alongside Corey Crowder and Alysa Vanderheym.
“You should be the spotlight, center of attention / Top of his list of the things he can’t lose / You should be his all night, not his last call girl,” Rich declares in the chorus over a breezy up-tempo production. “I’d give you my all girl if I had you / Never get old, having you to hold / Letting go is something I’d never do / You need someone to love, love, love you / Better than you’re used to.”
“I wrote ‘Better Than You’re Used To’ for everyone out there looking for someone to treat them better, and for everyone that’s already found it,” Tyler shares in a statement. “My wife and I both had been through some interesting relationships in our past, and this was the song to tell that story from a different angle.”
Prior to this release, Rich teased the song’s demo on TikTok, which amassed over 3 million views and received overwhelmingly positive feedback. This very demand let to the swift expedition to have the track released in time for this past Valentine’s Day weekend.
