Luke Bryan may be known for his major hits or his judging on American Idol, but the singer is highlighting his hilarious side via Instagram.
The “Down to One” singer was busy doing interviews on Live with Kelly and Ryan to promote the upcoming season of American Idol when he decided to make a Jaws-inspired Reel for fans to enjoy on Instagram.
In the middle of his Zoom interview on the popular morning talk show, Bryan whipped out a shark finger puppet and pretended to get attacked in the view of his mini video screen. But Bryan admitted that his co-stars, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, weren’t overly enthused about the prank.
“Having fun with @livekellyandryan during @americanidol interviews. For some reason @lionelrichie and @katyperry didn’t think it was as funny as I did,” Bryan captioned the video.
Just seconds after making the clip, Bryan and his manager can’t stop cracking up over the moment with the singer busting out quite the cackle for his own silly antics.
One fan even commented, joking that Bryan had been in quarantine for too long, to which he quickly commented that he agreed.
While Bryan has spent a good amount of time at home with his family throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, he’s been trying to keep busy on the business end of things. He got into the alcoholic beverage game last year by collaborating with Two Lane Brewing to produce an American golden lager and some hard seltzers for the company. At the beginning of 2021, the singer hinted toward bringing back the refreshing drinks.
Up next for Bryan is the season premiere of American Idol, which kicks off on Sunday, February 14, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
