Will Miley Cyrus Sing at Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s Wedding?

Music is absolutely key to any wedding — if the couple want their guests to enjoy themselves, anyway. At a bare minimum, you need a DJ to spin “The Electric Slide” and “Cupid Shuffle,” but it sounds like Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani can do better. Miley Cyrus has offered to be their wedding singer.

Making her offer public in a series of Tweets Sunday (January 31), Cyrus’ idea followed a hilariously off-the-wall conversation between herself and Stefani. The latter had congratulated Cyrus on her recent performance for NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series, tweeting her support and admiration with the note “talented geeezzzz.” But after Cyrus replied with “When my hero’s tweet me I get horny,” a lightbulb seemed to flash in her head.

The “Wrecking Ball” singer ultimately said she would love to perform for Stefani and her country-star beau, and would even be on her best behavior — or her worst, depending on what they preferred. “ALSO @gwenstefani @blakeshelton I’ll be your wedding singer! I promise to be on my best behavior. Or worst. whatever you want! It’s your special day! Cheers to loving you both almost as much as you love each other!” Cyrus shared.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani announced their engagement in October of 2020, surprising fans after meeting on the set of NBC’s The Voice and several years of dating. They haven’t made a date for the wedding public yet, but have shared the story of Shelton’s proposal, and Stefani responded to Cyrus’ offer with a noncommittal “thanks puppy.” The couple scored two country Number Ones with “Happy Anywhere” and “Nobody But You,” and Shelton’s new single, “Minimum Wage” is out now.
