Roommates, we are keeping the loved ones of Dustin Diamond lifted in prayer. It is being reported that he has passed at the age of 44 following his battle with cancer.
According to TMZ, a rep for Dustin confirmed his passing and said that his condition had declined since last week, and he was taken off of breathing machines in an attempt to get him to hospice care. His father was right by his side when he passed away.
He had recently completed his first round of chemotherapy after he was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell carcinoma. His rep gave an update on his condition after the first round of chemo was completed and said he was scheduled for another round of chemo and was also scheduled to begin physical therapy.
Dustin’s team also mentioned at the time that he was keeping a positive outlook and was looking forward to spending more time with his loved ones.
He was first hospitalized last month after feeling pain all over his body. It was reported that before his diagnosis, it was feared that Dustin had cancer due to his family history, and unfortunately it was confirmed that he has cancer after he was admitted to the hospital.
As many of you know, Dustin is most known for his role as Samuel “Screech” Powers on the 90s sitcom “Saved by the Bell.”
