Roommates, last year was undeniably a good year for Lil Baby! His album “My Turn” was named the best-selling U.S. album of 2020. He gave back to the community by donating the proceeds to one of his biggest records, “The Bigger Picture,” and it looks like Baby is planning on having an even better 2021. It was revealed in a recent interview with XXL that Baby is planning on opening a restaurant in Atlanta!
During an interview conducted on Zoom, Baby gave details about the restaurant after he was asked what other industries he plans to pursue outside of music. “I have a new restaurant, and I’ma open it in Atlanta,” he told XXL. “It was supposed to be open by January, but we had to finish the stages, so maybe, February or March.”
Baby also said that the restaurant would have a lounge-esque vibe and be located in the center of Atlanta. Atlanta is known for having some of the best Soul Food, so it’s no surprise that Baby’s restaurant will serve some Southern comfort dishes and libations. He explained the menu would consist of, “Lamb chops, lobster tails, rice, stuff like that.” He continued, “A little music, alcohol. Stuff like that.”
With Baby joining Atlanta’s restaurant scene, he won’t be alone. 2 Chainz has two, “Escobar Restaurant & Tappas” restaurants located in Atlanta and in Morrow, Georgia, which is in Clayton County. Kandi Burruss-Tucker has several restaurants in Atlanta, including “Old Lady Gang” and “Blaze Steak and Seafood.”
It’s unclear what Baby plans on naming his restaurant. However, with his fame, I’m sure it will most likely be packed. Also, Atlanta is the perfect location as it’s ranked number four as the best place to visit in Georgia, according to the News & World Report travel.
