Masika Kalysha is now engaged and is clearly in bliss. She and her fiance’ Jamar Champ celebrated their engagement with a party in Houston, TX. Gracing the carpet with all smiles, it was indeed a family affair, as Masika, Jamar, and her daughter Khari all posed for the cameras.
The 90’s R&B group H-Town was present, as they serenaded the crowd. Masika gave a speech about how much of a wonderful stepdad Jamar is to Khari and how thankful she is.
Jamar also gave Khari a new ring and put it on a necklace, placing it around her neck.
Just last week, Masika confirmed their engagement after rumors surfaced, once she showed off a nice ring on her IG stories. She revealed that the two had been dating for four months, once Jamar asked to marry her.
Masika wrote:
“Met my fiancé 10 years ago. Curved him for 97% of those 10 years. Been dating for 4 months. He asked me to marry him 4 days ago. Last night I asked him what made you so sure after only 4 months of dating? He said I knew 10 years ago, on the day I met you that I was gonna marry u.”
She also later added when she stepped into The Shade Room, “Moral of the story… it doesn’t take a man long to know if you’re the one he wants to spend his life with. I didn’t mean “curve him” as if I was ignoring the man. We were actually cool for 10 years before he put that thang on me I thought I was friend zoning him little did I know he was actually allowing me to think I was in control, whole time he was preparing himself and grooming me because if we jumped in when we 1st met we would have messed up forever.”
