Lee Greenwood, Mickey Guyton and Others React to Inauguration Day

On Wednesday, January 20th, Joe Biden was officially inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States of America. The eyes of countless Americans turned to their TV screens for the honored tradition, and many country stars commented on the occasion. Lee Greenwood, known for his patriotic song “God Bless The USA” chimed in with a message of unity on the momentous day.

“One nation, under God, indivisible with Liberty and Justice for all,” he wrote. “Praying for unity for our country and for our 46th President of these United States. May God Bless President Biden and God Bless The USA.”

Mickey Guyton took to Twitter to praise Garth Brooks for his performance of “Amazing Grace” on the inauguration stage, writing, “Garth Brooks got me over here sobbing.”

The Chicks also shared their happiness with a humorous video of people doing what seems to be an Irish jig with the caption, “Mood all day. #Inauguration2021.”
