Andy Cohen Crashes CNN to Surprise Anderson Cooper on 59th Birthday

The Bravo host made a surprise appearance on BFF Anderson Cooper‘s CNN show, hilariously interrupting the journalist’s June 3 broadcast to wish him a happy 59th birthday.

“Happy birthday, you Gemini stud,” Andy—carrying a giant bundle of balloons—remarked in a TikTok video posted by CNN as a shocked Anderson stopped mid-sentence to react to the unexpected guest. “How you doing, my man?”

The Watch What Happens Live host encouraged his longtime pal to take a break from reporting on the June 2 California primary polls, adding, “Forget about these L.A. elections. Enough! We’ve heard it all. My man, it’s your birthday, it was mine yesterday.”

Anderson, clearly tickled by the greeting, jokingly quipped in his signature dry tone, “You dressed up, wow.”

Andy—who turned 58 on June 2—continued showering Anderson with compliments on his special day.

“I love your newsroom, it’s gorgeous,” the dad to Ben, 7, and Lucy, 4, gushed. “Blow out your cake.”
