Good Morning America Moving to New Studio After 25 Years

It’s time to sayGood Morning Americafrom lower Manhattan.

After 25 years,theGood Morning Americacast and crew includingnews anchorsRobin Roberts, 64,Michael Strahan, 53,George Stephanopoulos, 64, are closing the chapter on their Times Square studio and taking the show downtown to Hudson Square.

The June 9th broadcast announced that this week is “the ultimate countdown as we say goodbye to our beloved home of 25 years.”

Formanyof the show’s staff and anchors, entering the ABC studios in Times Square was a pivotal moment in their careers.

“I remember thinking, I’m a little girl from Mississippi and I’m working at Times Square,”Robin,who joined as a co-anchor in 2005, reflectedin one of a series of Instagram posts shared to the show’s account. “It’s just so majestic.”

Michael, too, reflected on his first time in the studio, which enjoys the backdrop of Times Square’s billboards and energy.

“The bright lights, the personality, the energy, how intimidated I was when I walked through the door,”the former NFL starreminisced. “A lot of thoughts were going through my mind.”
